After searching and trying to find a solution to Skittles spraying, I came to the conclusion that he was bored. He's a young (2 years max) cat, and Snickers is around 10. Snickers wasn't interested in playing with him much, even though they got along. I don't have a cat tree, and can't afford to buy one at this time.
So one of my neighbors offered to take him, and it's the perfect solution. He has two cats about the same exact age, plus he has a cat tree. So I took him over there, and it's worked out beautifically! He and the other cats get along great, they play with each other, and he climbs on the cat tree. Plus, I can see him whenever I want. So he's been renamed Ian (spelled Euan), and is continuing to be spoiled rotten.
He's been in his new home for a week now, and I see him almost every day. My plan is to just have one cat until I get a job and can afford to move to a larger place. My neighbor's place is smaller than mine, but he doesn't have as much stuff as I do.
Moved, I am so proud of you for making this very difficult decision! You did what was best for Skittles, yet when there are love strings attached to your heart, sometimes that decision does not come easily. Good for you, putting this young cat before your needs, and having the courage to follow through.
The only down side is that were no pics for me to see.
They were there last night. I wonder what happened to them. I'll post them again.
Here they are:
