That's what I call poetic justice.

If you're saying that people should love cats, then why not dogs or any other animal. People have their own preferences. As long as they don't actually hurt any animals, what people do is up to them.

1.) That's funny.

2.) On a serious note, I guess I agree with Zitsky...but I look at my darling Nimbus and I can't comprehend why anyone would hate or want to harm a cat. HOW CAN YOU RESIST THE CUTE???

3.) While it is anyone's prerogative to like or dislike any particular animal...for the record, I think it's hot when a guy likes cats. It says to me that he doesn't feel like he's got some inscrutably masculine thing to "prove" by being a "dog person." Of course this opinion might be shaped by my disdain for the habit of my husband to tell everyone he's a dog person, when we both know he has loved every cat that's ever been in his life. Could you not just be an animal person? What's the big deal? But we've been over this in other threads, over the years...just my 2 cents.

People who hate cats already sense what Fate has in store for them.

That is what I am. I like/love all kinds of animals, but cats are my favorite and my preference. The only reason I don't have a dog is that I live alone and am still working, so for a good portion of the time there's no one home. My last dog died in 2012 and I decided not to get another until I'm able to fully retire and will be home most of the time. If and when that happens I'll probably try to adopt a senior dog to lessen the chance of him outliving me.
I've never really thought of one type of animal/pet as being better than any other... just different.

I've noticed over the years that a lot of men hate cats, particularly in my family. I don't know if this is true or not, but my mom told me my uncles hate cats because their meows sound like a woman nagging.
