We brought Callie inside the house the other day. The resident three hissed and spit under the door and through the cage bars when she was moved to the dining room area. When we finally turned her loose, Zebulon, who we were so worried about.... ran away screaming! I mean he sounded like something was killing him. He's still hiding from this little kitten. He missed supper and midnight snack last night and wont come out for breakfast. We're concerned about his not eating. Zephyr and Phaedra just hiss when she goes near them but otherwise ignore her - or try to ignore her. She insists they play with her but they're not interested. They take off with Callie in hot pursuit. There are cats running every which way.....

Here are some pics from the last few days:

Here's Callie in the old Ford RV.

Here she is in the old office, now used as a storeroom more than anything else.

Oh she is beautiful! I found a kitten who looked almost just like her one day when I was on a walk. She was a tuny little thing and she was stuck up a tree. I got her down and brought her home and she was a wild thing. My Max and Chloe kitties were not much on her.

I named her Little Bit.

Ha, that reminds me of one afternoon I was out walking my landlady's Australian shepherd. Ahead on the sidewalk were a mama cat and five or six kittens, not more than three or four months old. The kittens saw the dog before she saw them, and they hissed in unison at her. The dog ran between my legs, tail between her legs; I said "Did those itty bitty kitties scare you?" and she just looked up at me, shaking.

Well, I hope your kitties take to Callie sooner rather than later. I'm sure you know it's not always love at first sight -- or even tolerance at first sight!

This one is very tame and very well socialized. Someone had her and abandoned her at the PetsMart Adoptathon in a dirty old carton.

Did you keep her all her life?

Yep, some dogs are chicken too! Zeb is proving to be a big chicken. Little Callie is totally fearless. She ignores his growls and hisses and walks right up to him... and he takes off screaming. Of course she can't resist chasing him.

Yes,... I know. I would have liked to keep her in the office a little longer but her crying and calling was keeping me awake. I couldn't take it anymore.

Sad story. I had to (finally) leave my ex bf very abruptly and I had to leave my cats there. For the longest time I wouldn't leave him because of the cats but I finally had to make a decision.

For my safety I had to go. Without the cats.

I have always ascribed to the "just get it over with" method of introductions. Whenever I adopted a newbie and also when my husband and I merged our "tribes" we just put everybody in the same room and watched what happened. I know there is going to be some posturing and some squabbles but generally they are short lived. The only thing I would worry about is if your Callie were a really tiny kitten and sometimes males will kill them because they belong to another male. This isn't the situation - and I think Zebulon will eventually come around. It sounds like Callie is calling the shots!! I predict that within a week - 2 at the outside - you will have total harmony in your household. Just make sure they all receive love and individual attention from you every day, make sure no overt aggression is happening, and they will sort it out.
PS: Good golly - that Callie is absolutely beautiful. I love calico girlies - her markings are gorgeous. I am happy she found a home with you. Is she using the litter box now?

I am sorry that you had to go through that. Are the cats still alive? (who cares about him!!)...
Things happen for a reason.....just ask Kitty Katty!!! Glad you are in a MUCH better place and situation now.

Chloe and her kittens were re-homed and Max and Little Bit were with his mother and he told me she threw them out but I don't know for sure. I can't see her doing that, and I think he told me that to get to me...

I hate that all of that happened.

My youngest dog is very large and loud and you'd think he'd be the boss, but then since I got him as a wee little thing the size of his head, he's been around kitties. I don't think he properly knows he's a dog. My smallest, who is full grown at four pounds, sleeps near him or even on top of him, and the cats greet him just like he was a really big cat. I can hold onto his harness without a leash attached without even stretching down my hand.

He just barks at dogs. But when fights happen, (and Furball loves to go after someone, anyone when she's bored to stir things up) he runs in and barks at them to stop since he loves his kittiies and doesn't want them to fight. I think if someone tried to hurt them he'd defend them. He is highly protective of his pack. My other dog, a beagle, is older, but when I got her she saw my cat and went and greeted her in catlike fashion and thus there was never a problem. Both dogs have this odd, grunt like sound which is the best they can do with a purr. The both like being groomed by kitty tounges.
