George will soon be about 4 months old. I have seen some fleas on him, but not a lot. He has been scratching, mostly around his neck and belly. Anyway, he's sleeping on my lap, which is about the only time to apply it, without him putting up a fight. All done.

I've had and still have anxiety about putting any pesticide on him. I absolutely love him more than anything. Hoping he has no side effects. I guess there's no real question, just nervous. Man, I love this little guy.

Please reassure me that it's better than having fleas.

Fleas can give cats worms. Way better to be flea free.

I understand your anxiety. My cat stays indoors but we go in and out and she spends a lot of time on the screened porch, so I consider it now and then and would probably use it if I saw fleas on her. Yes, you have to use something, you cannot leave your cat with fleas.

And when will you next post his beautiful picture?

I've been living with dogs and cats since '91, and been putting topicals on them all since the mid-nineties.
I've had 2 dogs and 7 cats at one time, and a few outdoor ferals thrown in here and there that were also treated. I've used Advantage, Frontline, and most recently Revolution, and in all that time there hasn't been any sort of negative reaction. I understand your concern, but just keep an eye on him and try not to worry..... he'll be fine. As the others have said, it's really important to keep the fleas off of him. He should be old enough and weight enough to tolerate the Advantage.

Give George a hug for me.

Thanks all. He hasn't had any reactions. I did give him the kitten Advantage (2-5 lbs).

Now that's a good question. Have you posted a recent picture and I missed it?

I do think we're entitled, ya know.

please.

George will be just fine wth the Advantage. I understand your trepidation ... I felt the same way when I first used Advantage many years ago. George will feel much better without those pesky fleas. (Don't be surprised if he still scratches a little, as he may have residue bites that are healing.)
