I'd like to knit and crochet at will!!! But my 2 adult male cats won't allow it. They go bezonkers when I get my yarn out.

Can they be trained to either leave it alone or to play with one of their toys. They are not affected by catnip as I've bought them cat nip toys and have used cat nip spray with no result. However, they do love the yarn.

I can't close them in another room as I live with my daughter and I have 3 rooms which I share with Toby and Ollie as they do not freely roam the house due to allergies of one person.

Now I know it's not an end of the world issue (certainly is a 1st world problem), just looking for some ideas so we can all share our living arrangement while Mommy knits and crochets!!

Thanks

I've thought about getting back into crocheting but, I have 3, I can't have a piece of paper without them laying on it. Can't eat till they are eating. 1 female 1 yr old and 2 adult males. I hear you. Well you have 3 rooms, which you share with the cats, can't you put them in one and crochet in the other 2?

Not to diminish your dilemma, but ... Don't they ever sleep? I mean, they're cats!

I had to wait until Checkers' nap time before I could do yoga. He thought my being on the floor meant it was playtime.

They're cats.

If you're playing with string, they're going to join in the fun.

Get them their own yarn. However, be careful that they don't swallow any.

Can you distract them with a cat video? Can you get Youtube on your TV?

This one here is my cat's favorite:
