Not normal in any way, but a genius none the less, Phil Spector has died.

Murdered a woman and murdered the Let It Be album... two unforgivable sins.

I would avoid talking about Spector's personal life in this thread. My response will be related to music.

Spector and his "Wall of Sound" produced good music throughout the 1960s and 1970s.

She was 19 years old when she first met him. And she knew that musically, he was brilliant.

That you. That was all meant to say. He was known to be erratic and violent. Plus he had a massive gun collection. What could go wrong?

More on Phil Spector

TMZ is now reporting that Spector died of COVID-19 that he acquired while in prison.
Excerpt: "We're told he died from COVID-related complications, after being transferred from his prison cell to a hospital. We're told he was diagnosed 4 weeks ago and went to the hospital but recovered well enough to return to prison, where he was serving a 19-to-life sentence for the murder of Lana Clarkson. Our sources say he relapsed, had trouble breathing and was rushed back to the hospital, where he died Saturday."

From Fox, about his abusive marriage to Ronnie Spector, front woman for the Ronettes.

On Spotify there's a list of 15 essential Phil Spector recordings, performed by a variety of artists from The Ronettes to the Ramones to George Harrison to Leonard Cohen.
