From what I've heard, it sounds like an ovarian cyst that was found and removed and cancer was detected on biopsy.
Which means.. I'd presume, it's like Stage 1. Which.. Should be highly survivable. Though, I will say.. It looks like it's taken a toll mentally on her based on the announcement. First dose of chemo "usually" doesn't give too many side effects. that second, third or whatever.. Those really seem to pack a wallop. When your body says "Ok.. I've about had enough of this *@#%"
We got any medical folks who can weigh in on that idea?
The conspiracies just keep growing and growing. I was seeing posts elsewhere (not on C-D) of people who are convinced she's dead, never had cancer, and it's all A.I. Geez, people are cray-cray.

I don't recall what I was watching yesterday, they had a gastro surgeon speaking about what type of abdominal surgery would need that long in a hospital with such a long recovery, they speculated some sort of intestinal issue. Even a hysterectomy doesn't have a long hospital stay these days.
I doubt it was an ovarian cyst.
Hopefully the "chemo" in the UK is not too harsh. There are all sorts of new medicines in the US that are not chemo.
I haven's participated in such threads as Kate's disappearance from public duties had become the source of a lot of often malicious rumours and controversy.
In recent weeks I have seen all kinds of nonsense from both the MSM and in relation to social media, and hopefully this statement from Kate that is being broadcast across the globe can now not put an end to a lot of this unfounded and often cruel speculation.
I wish the Princess of Wales all the best in relation to her treatment and wish her a speedy and full recovery.
In a video message released on Friday, Catherine spoke of how her condition was discovered after she underwent major abdominal surgery in January.
