I remember that story. I believe it was Wayne Newton who had paid for her bail and court cost though in recent years this is something Newton refuses to discuss.
I also remember shortly before the robbery, Plato had done a soft-core sex film called "Differen't Strokes..the Story of Jack & Jill and Jill". Even though Dana Plato was the "star" of the movie, to this day some of her fans refuses to believe she would had done such a movie in the first place. I had always thought that a WEIRD !!
That would be like Elvis Presley fans making claims that their idol had never made "Change of Habit" with Mary Tyler Moore. Ah............
