Yeah....that's not gonna happen. Even if at&t doesn't get to swallow them whole, Deutsche Telekom is perfectly willing to sell it in parts. They want out of the US market.

Exactly the term "Droid" is now a common place slang for meaning Android regardless of carrier. Everyone in my circle has been saying "Droid" to mean Android regardless if they're on Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T.

Not to mention that people call Android OS devices "Droids" even if the word Droid isn't in the name of the phone.
