My local news channel just covered this story on how your iPhone can track you.
Go to: Settings --> Privacy --> Location Services --> System Services (scroll to bottom) --> Frequent Locations (That's what you would turn off)
If you take a look at your history, you can see where you've been. For instance, I went to the doctor on Saturday, and it told me that I was there from 1:22pm to 2:58pm. Isn't this creepy? This could be a great way to track your kids.
I've already known about that feature. It was added in iOS 7 and is used to kind of predict where you're going and give you real time directions with estimated arrival times. It's pretty useful for morning and afternoon commutes so I use it.
Not only your iPhone is tracking you, but your camera with GPS does it, and your laptop or desktop. Android phones track you, too, and so your regular cellphone tracks you too
On top of all that, the right person or hacker can turn the microphone of your telephone on to listen, or the camera on your TV, laptop, and the rest. Just don't take your laptop to the bathroom and use as you sit on the toilet, just in case

The number one cause of water damage to phones is dropping into the toilet. Be careful!
Been there, done that!
