Also it looks like Pixel 3 doesn't do band 14 but 4 does? From what I gather it is a signal that has a longer range used for emergency service calls? I do some long bike rides way out in the countryside so that might be wise to have.
The 4 was a downgrade from the 3. You're better off getting the 4a.

Looks like Band 14 is only used by first responders so it is a moot point so it looks like the Pixel 3 or 4a is my best bet. Thanks. I have 6 months to decide. I replaced the screen on my Pixel 1 for $30 and it is working well again.

One thing to keep in mind is that only the Pixel 1 has unlimited original quality photo backup.
Another one that you might want to consider is the Samsung A42. It costs about 400. I recently got one and even with moderate use the battery lasts nearly 1.5 days.

In that price range the Pixel 4A new @ $350 is the one to beat.
I've just never cared for Apple since the days of Mac vs Windows PC's with their overpriced proprietary parts and software. I prefer PC's, Linux, Android...
