There are no injuries but my sports car is near totaled. The huge truck swerved into my car. Truck incurred no damages. I only have liability insurance ... so the other insurance company will have to be convinced to pay. I might need a good attorney to make them take responsibility. Anyone know of a good auto accident attorney in the Charleston area ... you would recommend ?
Not to sound rude, but don't most people have full coverage on a "sports car"? Did you file a police report, did the police cite the driver of the other vehicle, did you get their insurance information? I see no need to involve an ambulance chaser unless they are 'really' at fault and have flat out refused to pay for the damages.
I have used John Duffy with O'Neil & Phipps law firm in Mount Pleasant with excellent results. (Disclaimer: this was not for an auto accident, but rather property damage to an auto)
Just before Christmas last year I ran up with this nutjob who lives in Arlington subdivision in Park West. John did the leg work and found out that this jerkwad had previously filed erroneous charges against another person in the past AND that he had complaint charges filed against him for threatening a couple of little girls in his neighborhood. John did his job and earned his money.
