Hi, I was wondering what kinds of wildlife you have to worry about when living in the Mount Pleasant area. A few people told me mountain lions, coyotes, and wolves. Is this true?

So smack those folks across the head with a blunt object.
There were either jerking your chain or are just complete imbeciles themselves.
You have none of the above to worry about in Mount Pleasant. There is a small wolf population, but you're never likely to see one...much less be bothered by one.

Hahahaha!
Just a note though, when I was walking my dogs at Patriots Point one day I noticed there are several signs up on the paths about being aware of coyote in the area. When I got home I did a search online and found a few articles stating they had been seen in 2010 in that area. My dog is 3 times the size of one, so I wasn't real worried but just though I'd pass it along.....
I do walk my dogs in all the County Parks & a lot of other areas around here though & that is the only place I have seen signs warning of coyotes.
you may see coyotes, but they are really small and don't usually mess with people... although there have been a few cases where they came close trying to get to someone's small dog on a leash
wolves are not anywhere near this area, they are futher north closer to NC... and cougars are so rare there's been no human sightings in many years...
You see the warning signs around Waterfront Park (MtPl.) and Patriot's Point because there has been at least one dog attacked and several coyotes trapped in that area. This is nearly as far south as you can get in MtPleasant. They aren't just "in the sticks".
