Beating a dead horse is one of my favorite past times, so here goes.

There's nothing quite like having an Internet stranger come along and tell you that your feelings aren't rational. Maybe you think it's polite, but to me it's opening a wound that hasn't completely healed yet. As much as it upsets me I can only imagine how a newly widowed soldier's wife would feel. Rather than chastise me for taking exception to the phrase "Happy Memorial Day" you could have taken five seconds to think about what it might mean to someone else. Or not, your choice.

I clearly stated that I wasn't offended by the OP, but I guess you missed that.

Sure am glad you decided to pop in to keep us in line.
