We don't go to bars and watch sports games, but I know that Wild Wings in the Oakland Plaza has a lot of TVs that are always playing sports. My neighbor goes to bars at Shem Creek and Sullivan's Island to watch games, but I don't know which ones. You could also try the Liberty Tap Room.

Red's Icehouse and Wind Wing Cafes (one in Oakland shopping center and another on Coleman by Moultrie Middle).

Just wondering, in your opinion, is this because in general watching sports at home/friend's homes is more likely or because sports games are not "big events" in Charleston?

We just aren't sports people. We will watch the superbowl if I have played the squares, but that's about it. We did enjoy going to see the Riverdogs last year. I think we will go watch more of those games this year.

Wild Wing in Oakland plaza which is on the northern part of RT 17 & Liberty Tap Room is on the southern end of RT 17, closer to the bridge. Liberty has awesome happy hour specials 7 days a week 4pm till 7pm Sports are big down here & we've been invited to many house parties but I think the horrible economy is playing a strong role as far as going out is concerned.
