I guess I need to stop listening to CDs so much and listen to the radio more so I can hear it again.

We sold our home in Mount Pleasant and moved this past June. We will be visiting the area for the next three days and riding around quite a bit.

Anxious to see if many/what changes. I will report back.

Just look for those orange Construction Ahead signs, they'll point to the entrance

Rick, it is an ad on the radio that makes it sound like an amusement park. It is because of all the construction around here. There are orange barrels and cones down all of 17 from the bridge to Wando Crossing and the just after the IOP connector to Walmart.

Fixin' roads while fixin' sewers means we corner the market on those cones!

Its not funny to people that live here. Its miserable. Feels like you cant go anywhere without waiting in lines and having your car's suspension and balance destroyed. But of course, the city of Mount Pleasan'ts government is a bunch of morons and running an ad poking fun at the misery.

IF the city gov't wasnt corrupt this wouldn't happen. But they're all in bed with developers, and they overdeveloped in the 2000's, causing a massive population growth that far out grew the infrastructure, thus causing the traffic nightmare. Yesterday, the city announced a massive "big box store" complex across from Town Center, with Dicks Sports, Costco, Home Depot, etc, etc, and a massive shopping-living center near patriots point. They only widened the roads to bring more development (aka, more money under the table to the corrupt mayor and council)
