Has anyone ever used the "Arts for Fitness" 24hr gym in West Ashley? Just curious if it's a recommended place to workout. I'm debating on this gym and ESAC in West Ashley.
I've never heard of it, but ESAC offers 24 hour access at the Pine Point location, and your membership also includes the North Charleston location, which has a pool. They have a lot of classes and personal training options too, it's a pretty good gym. I like it.

Does the ESAC at Pine Point get crowded in the mornings (6:00 am) or in the evening on weekends? I'm interested in the free weight area to be more specific.
I guess the most crowded time is right after work. Weekends the gym is usually empty when I've been (Saturday and Sunday afternoons).
I have only been a few times in the mornings, weekday mornings, wasn't crowded then either. The cardio area is definitely more crowded than the weights.
I train Jiu Jitsu at that location, top notch instruction if anyone is interested. Haven't used the workout facilities, but they look nice enough as i walk through there.
I've visited the "Arts for Fitness" for Brazillian JuJitsu (BJJ) in Summerville and I go to ESAC (Charleston Martial Arts) in North Charleston. I've been going there for 6 years now. The gym is decent but I understand the main one in Mt Pleasant is nicer.
I went to Arts for Fitness in Summerville to check out the BJJ. They have good BJJ training in Summerville and in West Ashley. If the martial arts is not of interest then ESAC might be best as you can access any of the ESAC facilities.
If BJJ is of interest then check out AFF unless you want to consider a drive to North Charleston.
I decided to go with Arts for Fitness since it's closer to home and on the way to work. They have all of the equipment I need to work out, plus some. 24hr access and it's never crowded...plus cheaper. Thanks for everyone's input.
