I searched for this & did find a similar thread...however, it is 4 years old & I would like some updated advice. I just moved to the summerville/goose creek area & I am desperately in need of a good obgyn. I am 5 months pregnant. I currently have an obgyn, but I'm not completely satisfied & don't know where to turn. I had a previous c-section & would like to have a vbac(vaginal birth after cesarean) if possible. The practice I'm going to now does not allow that. I also want a dr.that is very experienced with c-sections, just in case I end up having to go that route. My other cesarean was an emergency one & I had a wonderful dr...even though the procedure was hurried, I barely have a scar & the baby & I came through it fine. I will greatly appreciate any advice & TIA!
I have an appointment scheduled with my current dr tomorrow & plan to question them & I will go from there. I will definitely contact the dr. you suggested. Thanks again!
My wife is currently seeing Low Country Women's Specialist. So far I have been satisfied with them at each visit. They have ultrasound on site, and I believe some blood testing.
My wife is due late december and found out we are having a girl.
I know Dr Savatiel at MUSC has helped patients VBAC. I had a homebirth with a wonderful midwife but had to see an OB twice during my pregnancy. (DHEC regulations for midwives require this) Dr. Savatiel has a wonderful manner and I felt cared for and respected by her. I just found this. Angela M. Savatiel, M.D. Physician Profile - YouTube
She will not ever be an anchor woman on the national news but she is a great doctor.
