Does anyone recommend a hair colorist who specializes in blondes or highlights? I am a natural brunette, but i recently got a full head of highlights and need to have it done again. Can anyone recommend someone who is really good with this? I am very specific about the shade of blonde so I need someone with a lot of experience. Thanks!

I go to a great colorist in Summerville. If you want the name/number, you can send me a DM.

My wife uses a great little girl in Summerville also, right in the little shopping area between short Central and Cedar Streets...

Right next to the pole dancers academy

Two salons I've been to are Stella nova and Alexandria's. I don't get my hair colored but the ones I've seen done at both places look amazing...

Stella Nova has different levels of stylists, so if you go there and you are that picky, make sure to let them know you want someone that has been doing this a long time. You will, of course, pay more for the more experienced stylists.

Just to expand that point: don't just ask for the person who has been doing it the longest, ask for the highest/higher level colorist. Length of time does not equal better, and someone could have ten years of experience, but be a lower level then someone with five years of experience.

TealDreamer, what salon do you go to by chance? (my wife is a stylist/colorist in Summerville)

While I can not vouch for the colorists at Strawberry Blonde (my natural blonde daughter has *virgin* hair), I can tell you they do a great haircut. I recall my daughter paying about $40 for her haircut (she has shoulder-length hair that had not been cut in months!)

Strawberry Blonde is a Bumble and Bumble salon.

My wife goes to Dianna Reine at Salon Jolie in Mt Pleasant. She swears by her and has been going there for years. It is not cheap though.
