I had a friend who lived in the apartments there and she really liked it. It was convenient for her when she worked on Kiawah occasionally doing catering, that's where she commuted from, but she also liked to go downtown and her boyfriend lived on Daniel Island (I think she lives with him now, so she doesn't live at Bolton's anymore).

We looked at homes in Bolton's Landing... it was a little too cookie cutter for us home wise, but the homes themselves were nice as far as the floor plans went.

If it is only a little out of your budget, you should check it out. For location is probably one of your best bets.

I understand Boltons pretty new, and I might somehow be able to afford it, but Its going to be hard for me especially when I have debt to pay off. Does anybody know much about Spanish Oaks? They seem to get good reviews and are 695 a month.

I don't know anything about it but I drive past a lot of times, it's in a convenient area of town (meaning convenient to the whole Charleston area, not necessarily convenient to Kiawah as compared to Bees Ferry Rd). They are very pretty apartments too- lots of shade.

You do NOT want to live in N. Charleston! You will be on the road at least an hour each way.

Try looking on James Island. There is still the Stono bridge to deal with, but there are loads of nice small houses and apartments. They should be less than W. Ashley, and the commute to Kiawah is about 35 minutes.

The traffic at rush hour goes BOTH directions, and yes, all the service workers can be bumper to bumper btwn 7 & 9.
