I am getting the combined Tax, Title and Registration fees to be $300 to $350, for the cars valued $5000 and above

Ref: Tax Title Tags and Fees Calculator at carmax.com

Is this right?

Thanks!

Sales tax is capped at $300.00, you will then have to pay personal property tax based on the cars value in the county in which you reside...

Do you mean annual registration as Personal Property tax.

Annual registration/property tax needs to be paid every year in the other states as well right.

Thanks!

We register our vehicles for two years at a time here, but have to pay Personal Property Tax(PPT) every year.

PPT is based on the value of the vehicle and is slightly different in each county, sales tax is a one time tax you pay when your purchase the vehicle and is limited to </=$300.00...

Other states have higher fees to register your vehicle, but can not tell you what they are or how they are calculated..

Do they charge Property tax at the time of the sale or at the end of the year 1 and in the subsequent year end's.

It has to be paid before you can register your vehicle, so if have an older car pay the taxes and register it first then trade it in and transfer the tags this way you don't have to pay the property taxes until next year..
