Welcome to Summerville, Ronja! We do have very nice weather here compared to Germany around this time of year. This is my first fall/winter here in South Carolina and I'm loving it. I grew up in Michigan (my parents just got 3 inches of snow yesterday) and I lived in Germany for six years. The weather in Germany is very comparable to Michigan. If you need anything please send me a message.
My cousins live in Bonn. They visited us in July!!! Too hot. They will never come back.
January is a good time to move here. You will adjust to the weather better.
Good Luck.
Just need some info on No.Charleston.Charleston,S.C. area. I live in Dorchester,Mass just a few miles from Boston, and planning on moving down to get away from the cold,HIGH cost of everything and manadotory everything up here! I've heard and read some interesting thing and think this is the area I want to spend the rest of my life there. How do people down there feel about people from Mass. Are most folks friendly, how is the jobs situations, and is there a high unemployment rate? Is the crime rate as bad as it here? Thanks for answering these ?
