The pluff mud has hit the fan in Mt P! The government is crashing down around you and the only thing that stops the people from uprising is that they can't get through the traffic!

THIS IS WHY SO MANY PEOPLE ARE MOVING OUT OF MT P AND HOUSE VALUES ARE PLUMMETING!!

Better move now before it's too late! I'll be happy to list your house to see if I can find a poor, unaware buyer.

(sarcasm alert)

Can OP provide sources here? I've seen the budget for police over the past 3 years. The police always get what they ask for, and don't spend all that they have. The budget grows about 1 million a year.

I believe you've made this point to the OP before...

There have been a few Mt P. traffic jams where I have
gotten a "Alpharetta by the ocean" sick feeling and its definitely
not just a quaint village anymore.

Still, outside of rush hr and accidents I find most of 17 quite tolerable
most days. Although for the most part do not find the need to go past Bowman on
a daily basis.

Really, north of IOP has seen such a development boom that a separate town of " North Mt. Pleasant
does not seem so farfetched.

In the now, if taxes need to rise to keep the traffic going than it should be
focused on continual road improvements for 17 N, those living beyond the 526 loop need relief too.
