Does anyone know if there are livaboards (people living aboard their boats) in or around the Charleston harbor area. Are any marinas there "liveaboard friendly"?
Thanks, Brad

I know there are people living on their boats at Isle of Palms Marina, a high end community. But I don't know if there are many. Your best bet would be to contact the marinas by phone...

There are quite a few liveaboards in Charleston. All of the area marinas have their fair share. The City Marina and Ashley Marina are downtown. There is a free anchorage opposite the City Marina. Also downtown is the Maritime Center. Mt. Pleasant has the Patriots Point Marina. There is the Cooper River Marina in North Charleston. Of those I have mentioned, I believe the Cooper River Marina is the least expensive.
