Cool University choices compared to CCU

We were hoping that our 21 year old son would complete his 4 year degree at Coastal Carolina University before we moved from the Grand Strand to Charleston. He's a junior who's changing majors possibly again. He's a very good student but probably will end up with a liberal arts degree. What options would he have in Charleston to complete his degree? We're hoping that he could find a university that would be somewhat comparable to CCU as far as what is offered, size, and possibly accepting most of his credits earned at CCU (my grandfather was a college professor, and I know that some universities were much more cooperative with transfering students than others!). Thanks for any suggestions or comments.

Did you look into The College of Charleston? It's a very highly regarded liberal arts school, and since it is also a state college like CCU, he should be able to transfer there.

Also check with Trident College here, I think he may be able to transfer credits more easily.

My sources tell me that College of Charleston is tougher than CCU. But that was just their opinion as transfers.

C of C is a great liberal arts college. My hubby transferred credits there and didn't have any issues.
Trident is more of a technical college, not liberal arts.
I know nothing of CCU to compare them, sorry.

Charleston Southern University could be an option.

COFC is the toughest school in the region and plans to make it tougher. No grade forgivness or anything like that.

I attend Charleston Southern's Criminal Justice program (part time) which gives me some flexibility to work full time. The CJP has affiliations to CCU & Horry-Georgetown Tech also. They have a good mix of classroom, on-line & accelerated courses. I have heard good things about the Business program.
