Hi everyone, I'm considering a move to Charleston this summer for a job (in the medical field). I wouldn't really know anyone in the city, and I was wondering how hard it is to meet new people there -- especially since I'm a "northener" -- would I be cast aside? I have lived in Georgia for the past 1 1/2 years, and have grown to LOVE southern culture. Haha any insight would be wonderful, thanks!
Haha, you won't be cast aside. A sunny disposition and willingness to have fun is about all it'll take to meet people. There are plenty of places and events to gather at, not to mention meeting people at the new job. Also you can check into social groups like th Charleston Sport and Social Club. Great place to get some pickup outdoor sports fun and to go out with the teams afterwards for happy hours. Just google, "Charleston Sport and Social".
