We will be moving in June or July and are looking for areas to rent in. Of course the school district has to be good since that is hard to come by. We would like to have 3 bedrooms and 2 bath but keep it right around $1000 a month. I don't mind to be in an apartment or a house as long as its nice. Any suggestions? We have drove around the neighborhoods but man, there are so many different places to rent. My kids really liked the Cane Bay schools but I just want a high rated school.

And I looking for places, actual names/numbers. Not just the area of a place to rent.

It looks like that will be tough. If you put your criteria into Realtor.com, you can get specific listings. You can use google street maps to "look around" the neighborhoods once you have an address you are interested in. There are only 3 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom properties for $1000/month:

242 Winding Trail Lane ($1000)
725 Central Ave Apt B4 ($850)
383 Springview Lane ($965)

The lack of pictures suggests they might not be in great condition. I don't know anything about those neighborhoods, though. Good luck! :-)

Yes we have been looking at all the sites as well...its so hard to really know a "good" area. And yes, if they are only showing the bathroom or some random room then probably the rest of the house isn't great. I'm hoping to get some insight on apartment buildings as well. Which ones are great to be in and which ones you should steer clear of.

We found lots of rentals in the Summerville area when we were looking for a rental while our house is being built. Carolina One real estate has rental listings and I know that no one likes craigslist but we found several decent places that were listed there.

Thank you I will look up the real estate number. Yes Craigslist does make me a little nervous. Haha!
