I am going to be moving to Charleston ahead of my family and I will be staying in my camper. I am hot opposed to being a volunteer on the weekends for a reduced rate. Thanks in advance

There is a KOA in Mount Pleasant. Also, in James Island the County Park is very nice.

If you meet any of these criteria: Active, National Guard, Reservists, Retired, 100% DAV. DoD Civilians, you could check on Foster Creek RV Park and Villas beside the Navy Base in Goose Creek. I've never been to it, just aware it is there.

We spent the day driving around Charleston and both KOA campgrounds have a waiting list. I am not active or retired military. James island county park is limited to a 14 day stay, I need something where I could be there for a year... I think what I'm going to try to do is buy a couple acres outside of Summerville

What about Francis Marion? I know someone that lived there in a tent for months. I don't know if there is an RV area, but you could check.
