I am ready to live like a captain. Still considering if I should rent or buy a boat slip, and which marina do you recommend? I can work at home so as long as I have wifi, I am good.

Thanks in advance.

If you're gonna live on it, location matters.

We know some people that live on their boats at the Charleston City Marina and are happy with it.

I know one single fellow that lives on a boat at Patriots Pointe Marina. He has been there for some 10 years. Says he loves it.

Yep, had a guy who worked for me and did the same there at City Marina. He loved it there as well. I think there's a small community of people who do live on their boats there.

St. Johns Yacht Harbor, 10-15 minutes to downtown, very nice facilities, more reasonable $$ than City Marina or those downtown. Rent a slip for your boat.
