Hello ! My wife and I are thinking about moving to Summerville because it seems to be fairly close to the beach and we found many house listings in our price range. --> Charleston MLS Search Results=

Thats just what we know from researching online, but we have never been there. Is it really possible to find a decent house for 70.000-80.000?

Another very important factor are colleges and universities nearby. Are there any ? And if so how far away are they and can you please give me the names??

Thank you so much !

Ok, Yes you can find some small older houses for less than 100K.

There are nearly ten colleges, universities, tech schools, etc... in the area.

Trident Tech, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston are just a few.

It would be very difficult to find a home in this price range in my opinion. It depends on your standards I guess, but I think 150K would be more in the range for that area.
