Default Your Advice on Internet Service in the Goose Creek area

Hi! We are moving to Goose Creek In October. I was hoping to get some pointers when setting up our internet. Who are the local providers and how do you like their service. I see that Comcast services the Goose Creek area -- and that kind of makes me sad... I have dealt with comcast several times while living in the tri state area and it has always been a complicated and emotional experience. Oh well, maybe its different in South Carolina -- I will keep my fingers crossed! Any input would be so appreciated -- thank you all, everyone on this forum has been so helpful.

Ps. We are looking for fast and reliable service -- probably cable.

Comcast is the same almost everywhere. Some co-workers use the below ISP. Give them a try and see if they service your address...

Knology: Cable, Phone and High-speed Internet

If not, you have the DSL option (most likely anyways). Other friends of mine use this and get great service, 6mb+ DL speeds. Check ATT's website for their options.

Good luck.

I think your stuck with Comcast. We called them every month cause the bill was screwed up!

Maybe you'll have better luck?!?

Well......I have Bellsouth DSL @ my store in GC and IT SUCKS!...Its so damn slow, that I am forced to switch to Comcast. So, what's the lesser of 2 evils?? Bellsouth/Comcast?? Flip a coin. At least I can say that Comcast Internet is fast. There Cable TV stinks

Though I don't live in Charleston yet, I do live in an area served by Knology. Though they are like many other cable companies in that you have to jump through hoops to get things right sometimes, it's nothing compared to Comcast. If your area is served by them, give 'em a shot!
