I haven't lived in Charleston in years, but I'm down visiting and I was wondering what some of the best restaurants for takeout are in the West Ashley area. I went looking and a bunch of places I used to go to have shut down.

Does anyone have an opinion, especially for Chinese? I saw a few reviews for Red Orchids, but what I read was a year or two old, and lord knows a lot can change in a year or two.

I just moved to the West Ashley area and have not tried any Chinese take out yet. But if you like chicken then go to The Kickin Chicken!!! Located on the Sam Rittenberg. Low prices for great food and large portions. If you like Mexican food then go try Senor Tequila. They have the best chicken quesadillas I have ever eaten. There are two locations in West Ashley. You also get a lot for the prices you pay. Bon Appetit!!
