Are the new elementary school students in Tega Cay still being sent to Riverview Elementary because of the overcrowding at Gold Hill Elementary? If so, is there any plans to reunite the kids from Tega Cay at a single school, or is the plan to perpetually split the 'grandfathered' kids from the newcomers?

I'll ask my wife because she is the school psych intern at Riverview Elem, Orchard Park Elem, and Fort Mill High schools. Orchard Park is a little closer in proximity to Tega Cay than Riverview.
My wife said that Gold Hill's enrollment is still frozen and the only way for the Tega Cay kids to get back from Riverview would be if they were to open up Gold Hill's doors again. She said it is max capacity and seems to be staying that way because of all the growth. That's all she really knows about the situation. I hope that helps.
They let a portion of the Riverview kids into Gold Hill each year, based on the number of open seats. I thought it was supposed to be based on who has been waiting the longest but I know people who moved to TC this past year and still got their kids into Gold Hill, so there doesn't seem to be any set rule for who gets in and who doesn't. GHES is still officially under enrollment freeze, though, so the safest assumption would be that your child would go there over GHES if you moved to TC.
