My husband and I are moving to Charlotte from Tampa (DH recently accepted a position) and an acquaintance suggested the Valentine area to rent. Problem is I can't find where the area is on any map or apartment searches. Did I hear wrong or what?

We are waiting for our house to sell in FL before we buy and want something safe (who doesn't) and quiet. DH's job is off exit 2 on 77 - I was thinking of looking in the Lake Norman area too. Any other suggestions. We have a 10 month old son so schools are not a concern while we rent.

Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think you may be looking for "Ballantyne."

Look in Ballantyne, not Lake Norman. Trust me, a commute from Lake Norman (exits 23-36) to exit 2 everyday would be nothing short of hellish.

Ahhhh, well that makes a difference! Commute from Lake Wylie would certainly be better! It's a nice area, too.

Working at exit 2 I would actually recommend Tega Cay or Fort Mill.

I still got lost, I am one of those poor soles who has no sense of direction even after 8 years in Charlotte. I map quested everything.

Learn the back roads and you will be Golden.
