My husband wants to keep our truck for years to come and wants to rebuild the engine to keep it going.

Can anyone recommend an engine rebuild shop? I found a few but would love personal recommendations so that I can get someone reputable and offers warranty on their work.

I don't mind driving from Kannapolis to Rock Hill for a great shop.

Thanks!

There are several places that rebuild engines. Are you looking for a place that's going to not only rebuild it but also remove it from the car, disassemble the engine prior to the machine work, put it back together and then reinstall it into the car you will be looking for much more than just a re-builder. You will need a general repair shop and there are plenty of them here. I cant recommend any sorry.

I have a mechanic that can remove and install. I am looking specifically for a machinist I guess for the boring and other highly technical stuff I don't know diddly squat about.

I got some replies back today and learning all about it. Will compare best I can do and see if they will give me referrals. Or do you think I am nuts asking for that?

I live in Deming, NM, a small town. Does anyone know of a general repair shop in Las Cruces, NM or El Paso? I need to have my motor pulled and a remanufactured engine put in.

Thanks!
Scott
