Haven't listened to "local" morning radio in over a year. Brotha Fred and his cronies were AWFUL and Ace & TJ weren't much better (IN MY OPINION). I use I Heart Radio and Sirius XM to get me through my mornings.

I read that as they understood and accepted that they would not be paid as well. It was never a complaint. In lieu of monetary compensation, I think they were looking for more freedom with their show.

I don't listen to the morning shows, but thanks to modern technology I can spend my commutes home in the afternoon listening to Shredd and Ragan. Local talk (except for John Hancock) doesn't do anything for me, and find myself mostly listening to The Ride and The Planet if I do listen to local radio

Might be worth trying NPR. It's like breakfast for your brain!

I listen to 1110 AM for the traffic reports and when I don't need that anymore I listen to Liquid Metal on SiriusXM.

I will say that I am upset about this for a whole different reason than most. I had my alarm clock set to 95.1 in the mornings so I would get my butt out of bed faster to cut them off. Sure the charity work was great and all, but I just didn't dig their humor and would get to the alarm clock as fast as possible to shut them off.

Agreed.

90.7 WFAE is the best station 'round here by a country mile.

I would love to know how KISS's ratings suffered. A lot of people still don't realize they are gone for good. I had a friend ask me if I "knew what was up with Ace & TJ this week" just yesterday.

I don't like the music they play on KISS, so they lost me completely as a listener. I know many others feel the same.

Ratings are done quarterly, so you won't really know the answer until after the August sweeps. The top 10 markets are metered 365 days of the year, so in those markets you get the overnights every morning & you can see fluctuations daily.
