We just found out that we will be moving to Charlotte either late Spring or Early Summer. After reading the boards, I think we will be looking to move to the Marvin/Weddington area. My 12 yr old daughter is very involved in theater and I was wondering if there are any good programs in that area. I would prefer a youth only program.

Matthews Playhouse

I have never seen any of their productions, but have heard good reviews.

There's also the Children's Theatre of Charlotte Children?s Theatre of Charlotte | Quality Family Entertainment | Classes and Summer Camps. They do offer satellite classes in Ballantyne, but anything that will involve workshops and performances will be downtown.

I work for the Children's Theatre of Charlotte, and it's a great organization with lots of options. You can find out more at ctcharlotte.org.

I just moved to Charlotte myself and love the area. Good luck!
