I know of a little neighborhood with brick homes, close to downtown, feeding to Myers Park High School, in a low-crime enclave that has homes in that price range.

The Elementary and Middle schools are teh suck, but if you have HS age kids it is good to go. If you have younger children the Elementary School is title 1, so the district MUST provide you with alternatives. You can go magnet or neighborhood schools (like Landsdowne).

If you want more info, PM me.
