These next two weeks have TWO dog shows here in the Charlotte area. Thursday-Sunday coming up in Concord is a dog show and then the Easter weekend there is a two day show at Piedmont Kennel Club.
If anyone is looking to do some research into breeds or looking for a reputable/responsible breeder these shows are a great way to do so. Many of the top dogs in the country will also be there if you just want to meet some.
Should anyone need assistance I am going to be at the show socializing some puppies and would be happy to get you in touch with a breeder in a breed you are interested in.
That is a really great idea, I had no idea about these shows. I am looking to buy a Pomeranian later on in the year. Do you know how much the tickets are?

I think you only pay for parking which is $5 - it is a great way to get up close and personal with many breeds. My parents were looking for a new dog and I sent them to a dog show in Denver where they live. They spent a few days at the show and ended up choosing Border Terriers as their breed of choice.
They met breeders and owners and had a great idea of what the breed was and recently purchased a Border Terrier from a very responsible breeder. It is a great way to see some wonderful dogs
I know we have a local breeder for Boerboels in Harrisburg, do you know if there are going to be any there?
They are not an AKC recognized breed so they will not be there. BUT there are over 1200 dogs representing over 170 breeds entered just in conformation alone so many cool dogs to see!
How neat! I might try and go next weekend if I have time. I'm actually interested in finding a local Keeshond breeder. My family had one when I was a kid, and I'm hoping to get a puppy of my own this summer. I'd definitely want to buy from a reputable breeder if I can't find a rescue dog.
I have Aussies so I always get to see the Corgi's - who in their opinion rule the world LOL
They rule the world in my opinion too. I'm writing in Mr. Buttersworth (my next door neighbors corgi) in for president on the 2012 ballot. I'm hoping he will pick a pug or dockson as running mate. I think a golden retriever would be good for foreign relations, and a doberman as secretary of defense.
Cutest GOP candidate and cabinet of all time.
