Ok I have 3 apartments that I am looking at near matthews. The first one Sardis Place Matthews, it looks nice and price I won't, but I do not know if it is safe. #2 Berkshire at Matthews I like this place, but again its on 74 so do not know if it is a safe area. Last is the Paces apartments in Matthews. So if anyone has had any experiences at these places or know if they are a good place to live please let me know. Thank you.
Yeah many people have told me to check that website, but it won't let me check Berkshire and Paces, because they are in Matthews. Also I know that 74 is bad, but does it ever get better? Berkshire is not directly connected to 74 its on a short couple of roads away from it. Thanks for the advice.

Berkshire used to be called Chambers Ridge - been there at least 20 years. This is an okay area - no bad neighborhoods anywhere around it.
I agree with NTtoTX and could not recommend Sardis Place (on hwy 74).
Paces Commons is an affordable option in a good location.

You can also call the local police and they can tell you about incidents in that area. At least they did when I moved into my house in Matthews.
