My daughter wants to get her belly button pierced for her 17th birthday and I am very nervous about taking her to a tattoo parlor. One of her friends recommended Krazy Kats. Has anyone heard of this place or can you recommend a place?

alright, the last time I made my opinion known about this matter I was berated for being too harsh... so I will attempt to be more diplomatic this time.
In my humble opinion, 17 is oh so young for this type of objectification. I would urge to reconsider your blessing for this sort of adornment. Perhaps this is the over protective father in me (I have a very young daughter myself), but gracious... this just seems like a decision that adults should make for themselves. Not that the piercing is so bad in and of itself, but lining it up for such a youngster is almost a tacit endorsement of promoting the sexuality of your daughter.
And if I've insulted you with this opinion I sincerely apologize, it was not my intent. I may have made too many assumptions about your nervousness regarding the endeavor.
After doing some snoopin' around about Sadu turns out I know the owner. And that knowledge doesn't put my mind at ease at all. It does the opposite, in fact.
Thank you everyone. I went to Krazy Kats and they were great with my daughter. I'm still not crazy about the piercing but if that is the least that she does, I'll count myself lucky. The place took instruments out of a sealed bag so that does help with my anxiety...but not much.
I've been to both- WAY prefer KK. I know u went already, but Sadu is way more expensive for some of the same products (example- they made me pay 20.00 for a replacement ear-cartilage stud, KK charged me $5, and I was happier with KK's down-to-earth attitude as opposed to Sadu's somewhat arrogance in regards to their 'skill'. Also, the 1st time I went to Sadu- I swear my piercer (a young blond) was totally high. Saw her after that when I went in for a follow up to change my studs- night/ day. Anyway- after my 1st piercing I went to KK and have gotten several more- I'd never go back to Sadu.
... I will gladly let my kids pierce when they get older if it prevents them from getting tattoos @ 18 that they regret in the future!
