But back to White Castle - unfortunately that rumor was incorrect and they have no current plans to come to Charlotte. There would be a better chance of perhaps Krystal returning, as they are moving operations to Atlanta and currently planning to expand in the Southeast.
Good! Krystals are FAR superior in taste & experience to White Castle anyday! Just wish they'd expand more into Virginia. Sitting in that mile long drive thru line at 3am on a Friday night, drinking, smoking, yelling at girls, starting fights. Ahhh....the days!
Charlotte would be better served with In & Out, Culvers or Whataburger.

I am with you regarding Krystal's! I just wish I wouldn't have to go all the way to Gaffney to get my fix.
Culver's will be opening a location just across the state line in Ft Mill on Carowinds Blvd in the coming months.
In n Out is mainly West coast, but they have recently moved into Texas around Dallas. Closest Whataburger is southern GA and Jacksonville, Fla. There is a local What A Burger in Concord, but not the same franchise. And would still like to see Roy Rogers move south, but they are in northern Virginia.
And Culver's is now open in Greenville, SC, and, as mentioned, coming soon to Carowinds Blvd.
Culver's frozen custard is great and White Castle is also good late-nite, I go all the time in Chicago.
I'm glad there coming down south to the Charlotte area.
Bears, the only White Castle you will find here is the frozen kind. There is a southern version, called Krystals...but, definitely not the same.
Kind of excited that Culver's won't be so far away...but, stock up on your Italian Beef before you come, because there is none of that either.

I found a place in Charlotte that does Italian Beef - Matt's Chicago Dog.
There is one Uptown and one in Cornelius, it's ok, not the best but not the worst , the owner is from Chi.
It would be great if this thread could be deleted. It keeps coming up in search results and gets me all excited
