We're going to The Daily Show on the first night. I'm not sure there's much that could keep me away from that!
they are taping in Charlotte? I know it's sold out.. now that is something I would go to. I wonder if you can leave when the interview starts? I always flip the channel once they bring out the special guest.
Honestly - who can "leave?" Plan a vacation? I don't know anyone who is "leaving town" b/c there is going to be a convention here. Folks have to work, go to school, etc . . . not many people can just decide to "leave."
The political fans who think the socialist are coming to town to marxist up the place are probably leaving. Some of them actually think leaving will send a message. *sarcasm with truth in it*
Not only will I not be leaving, I will be immersing myself in the throng if I can. I plan on riding my bicycle to work on the Tuesday and Wednesday to ride around and check stuff out. I'm packing red handkerchief in my bag just in case it goes down

That's awesome! You know when the kids asked me I tell them, finish high school, get your diploma, go to college, get a degree or two. Then you can worry about work!

I've done all of this & stayed out of debt. It's why I don't need to work now and I accomplished it without any handouts. I'm afraid that the party which I used to support, that is holding their party in Charlotte, no longer believes in any of it now.
Is this something that you need tickets for? Is it just watching them film, or being part of an audience?
Yes, you need tickets. I got lucky and scored them about five minutes before they were gone. They are taping from Imaginon all week. There is an audience. They usually have really good guests during the political conventions, so I'm looking forward to that as well as some good laughs!
