Is your company having everyone work from home that week? Our company hasn't made a decision yet, but I heard Wells employees will be working from home. The building management said to expect an extra 2 hours each way for security. Doesn't seem worth it to come into town for work if 4 hours will be spent going through security. They said cars will be searched in the parking deck each morning when you arrive.
I think my employer will have people work from home. I will probably go into the office each day. I work in a building on the north side of town. I'll be on the opposite side of town from the convention so I am hoping it won't be a big deal. I haven't head of any security measures for the building where I work but it is still too early.
I work in one of the Wells towers, so we will be in the thick of it. We are having another building update next week, so hopefully our owner will make a decision.
We haven't decided yet. I'm hoping they will close but then I have to find stuff to do from home because my job is pretty much 90% hands on, have to be in the office.
Is 0.6 of a mile far enough away to not be an issue? That is how far away it is.
Dh told me tonight that some have been asked to work from home, they haven't decided on everyone yet.

I'm well aware of the distance. I live two blocks away. It's close to the stadium, so during the speech I'm sure it will be an issue. Parking might be tough that week, but I doubt they're going to be closing the sidewalks all the way down there. There can be a big event at the arena and you wouldn't know it from the area around the Duke Energy Building. Granted this is a much bigger event.
