I've noticed that there is a lot of construction activity at that building. It almost looks like they may be demolishing it. that place has been closed forever however, it is in an amazing location. Anyone know what they are doing there?

According to the building permits, it is a restaurant called Vine American Kitchen. There is not much on google, so it must be a new concept. Not sure if it is local or not.

If that name is correct, it looks like that name was filed for a trademark on May 3, 2012.

I hope a restaurant finally "catches on" in that spot - nothing seems to stay open there!

Thanks for posting this. I noticed the port-a-jon and construction equipment and was wondering myself.

I agree it's a great location. I don't know why that whole area seems to be such a death knell for restaurants. Is it just because there isn't easy access from Johnston directly?

What was the name of the place that was there first? Was it Michaels or something? It was there for a long time. I hope something sticks there....shame about that location. Don't forget about the Flatrock Grille location which also seems "Cursed"

It was a Piano Bar a long time ago. Can't remember the name.
