Have lived in the Charlotte area (Gaston and Cabarrus Counties) all of my life (42 yrs.). Wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Over 7 years after moving 14 times in 19 years of marriage (just had 26th on the 17th). Here to stay! 4 kids that started school here 9th, 6th, 2nd, 1st-now 2 in college -both down 74, 1 High, 1 Middle. Definitely feels like home to all of us -finally

I'm in hot as haitis NC now. I moved to the coastal area. There are no jobs here unless your working for the feds, state, or local govts. It's hot and that's it. It's bad.

I know Charlotte is being crunched hard with jobs, where are you looking?

Laid off from the mortgage industry. Trying like heck to get out of the industry which seems so hard to do here in Charlotte.
