The same jerk that likes to make noise all day on sundays running a back hoe/bobcat tonight decided to do him some chainsawin.. Law says you can not do this after 9pm in residential areas so at 10.30 when he was still at it I had to call 911 and report him... They said they would send a car by to remind him of the friggin law....I didnt know what else to do...any ideas? thanks

Go Dorner on his ass. Noise at night is the worst, especially if you know it's the kind of person that will keep it up for hours. Boom-boom music is what I hate most.
I usually use the police station number, since 911 is for emergencies.

I've called the main police station number, and I've been transferred to 911. I've asked them why, and they said that's just where they dispatch from.

I tried calling 911 for something minor once, and was referred to the station number ...... I guess it's different in different places .... although I did know that particular dispatcher to be especially stupid.
Have you ever followed ideas presented to you here regarding your neighbors? Recap:
1) Neighbors almost burn down house on 4th of July.
2) Neighbors tree falls on your property.
3) Neighbors operating chainsaw after 9pm.
Is this the same neighbor or three different ones?
Sounds incredible to me.
3 different ones. I didnt call 911 directly but 311 switched me to 911. The guy with the chainsaw will not get any slack from me. He has shown disrespect too many times. Once around 7pm while the sun was still out for some reason he goes out into his yard and shoots off just one large exploding rocket.....why????? Is he frikkin crazy? The sudden explosion scared my poor dog so bad she went into the bathroom and was afraid to come out for 3 hours .Im not an arsehole but with people like this I CAN BE.

There is no way all your neighbors suck AND YOUR PERFECT. Your like a magazine rack, you have issues. You need to take a long look in the mirror and do some reflecting. There is a lot of things you need to change in your life. I thank god you are not my neighbor. We wouldn't get along!
