It sure would be nice if they'd spend some of my hard-earned tax money up here in North Charlotte...

With the exception of the Trolley and Dog Park all the others are private development I believe. More tax dollars for Meck. County!!!

Meck Co. gave a LOT of incentives for that NASCAR HoF, so while the developments might be "private," they are still funded to some extent by our tax dollars.

Thats how the big boys play. It's the cost of doing business, without those incentives the HOF would be in another city. The "tax" dollars you speak of come primarily from a 2% hotel/motel tax, additional funds from the "State of NC" and private sources. CLT and the state are making road improvements as part of the deal. All in all not a bad deal, considering it will make CLT a tourist destination for 1000's and 1000's of folks.
