Has anyone visited the Adare Townhomes development off S Tryon and Beam Road? Thoughts?

Almost bought an Eastwood townhome there. I lived .5 miles away from there for about 5 years. I don't recommend the area.

I wish I had their advertising budget but that area is sketchy. They look really nice though.

Sketchy is correct. Lots of propert crimes around there and armed robberies. You have to go further down south on S. Tryon (Hwy 49) closer to the state line before it gets better.

I looked at them back in September. I thought they were garbage for the price. My dad who works construction was not too crazy about the mobile home pieced-together house idea either. I wouldn't recommend.

Thanks for all the input! Really appreciate it. We went by there today. Lots of nice cars in the driveways.

Nice cars in cheap homes usually isn't a sign of a good area.

Definitely a great value for the standard upgrades, location, and sq. footage. Easy access to I-77, I-485, Light Rail, Uptown, Ayrsley, and SouthPark areas. Also looking to buy there and also purchase an investment unit to rent for Corporate housing with the business parks close-by.

Actually, it's not a good investment. That whole area is rapidly deteroriating.
