Good to know you can charge police officers without getting (legally )shot. I'm sure all the cops in the Queen City will get training refreshers on the difference between "active aggression” and "aggravated active aggression" when a person is charging at them.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

no, why should I be pulled into drama where citizens are being subjugated by an unfair system (innocent or not). Why would you let yourself be pulled down by negativity? I refuse to even read the post or any replies. That's also why I don't watch the news. All the sheep enjoy watching other people's drama and support the broken system by doing so. Don't let your minds be screwed up by filling it with other people's problems.

Kerrick himself testifying today.

Also testifying was the officer who shot the taser (who was black), who said he heard Ferrell say "shoot me" and after shooting his taser said Ferrell "bum rushed" Kerrick. Also said Ferrell gave no indication that he was injured.

As well as the supervisor that trained Kerrick that if there were two officers on scene, one should have their taser and the other should have their gun.

^I noticed he took the stand.

I haven't been following the trial though I do think the officer has been unfairly treated by the local press and TV news. Especially the TV news.

Taking the stand is a risky move by the defense unless the accused is absolutely certain they are innocent of the charges.

I started out up in the air on the whole thing.I think that the dash cam video was much more risky. I know one thing, I'm a white female & if I charged at officers, I'd be swiss cheese before I got to them. While Ferrell runs off the camera, there were 3 credible witnesses today who explained why Kerrick shot his gun.

if you are a white female and you charged officers unarmed you wouldn't even get tasered.

I don't think a black female would either, as long as you aren't 6' tall and 200+ pounds.

I'd be swiss cheese if I'd charged at cops without first expressing that I had a problem. I've been pulled over for being female & the cops came with a drawn weapon. When they realized that I was older than they wanted, I've been ordered to get out & they do not holster the gun. No, I wouldn't be cut one bit of slack.

I don't believe that being female buys you anything.

It's a very old trick to pull over females who they think might be dating material. Since they have to call in stops, they need to come up with an excuse. Horny cops used to find an excuse to get a female in the patrol car & molest her. Females filed enough complaints about that that I doubt that that is likely to happen today. Mothers used to have to have that talk with their teenage daughters. I know that my sister had it with my niece, so it's still a fear.

Wow yesterday kind of blew some serious holes in the prosecutions case. The black officer testified that he would have drawn his gun after the taser if he had the time.

Also the counseling from the training officer stating that 1 officer w/ taser and 1 officer w/ gun for situations like this.

Going to raise some substantial doubt here. I hadn't heard that the first officer on the scene was black!!
